Self-discipline is the key to personal greatness. It is the magic quality that opens all doors for you, and makes everything else possible. With self-discipline, the average person can rise as far and as fast as his talents and intelligence can take him. But without self-discipline, a person with every blessing of background, education and opportunity will seldom rise above mediocrity.
Life is too precious to spend it existing from day to day. For too many of us, that is a way of life. Please allow my message to inspire you to believe in yourself, to believe that you too can have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous life.
006 A Minute with AL (Military Edition) - Enemies of Dreams
The ENEMIES in our lives that steal our dreams. They keep us from having a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous Life. Think about it for a moment, some of those enemies are people, people in your life that love and care about you, never the less, I know them as Dream Stealers. They tell you that you can not do this or do that, that you will never become what it is that you want to become. They tell you that you should not go to college because you will never make it. They tell you that your dreams are not real, that you are off your rocker, that your dreams will never become reality. They tell you that you are crazy for dreaming about being wealthy. They tell you that your parents were poor and that you too will be poor. To all of that, I say, "Buffalo Chips"! I did not listened to those that said I couldn't. I listened to those that said I could. Finally, let's don't forget the enemies that exist within us.They are, Procrastination, Doubt, Fear, Can't, If and Impossible. I wrote about these enemies in my book, Who Wants To Be Somebody?. Order the book and read about them. You must bury these enemies in your mind forever and you go do what it takes to be who you want to be. Go make your dreams come true. I have always been and will always be a Dreamer. "You can if you think you can". "What You Dare To Dream, Dare To Do"
God Bless, Al Gonzalez
In my first book, Who Wants To Be Somebody?, on page 76, I shared with my readers that the color of Freedom is red. Why did I say that? Because a lot of American blood has been shed to preserve our way of life and to preserve our FREEDOM. Our FREEDOM has never been free. Many have paid with their lives so that you and I can live as free people in this Great land called America. If you see someone in uniform, take a movement to shake their hand and thank them for their service. God bless those who have served and those who are serving. God bless you and God these United States of America.
004 A Minute with AL (Military Edition) - PTSD
In this video I am wearing my military uniform to honor our country's veterans, men and women who volunteer to serve because they simply love our country. Like many of us who came back from Vietnam with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, so have many returned from Iraq and Afghanistan with this internal wound we know as PTSD. If you or someone you know suffers from this ugly ghost, please visit my website, eaglesnestusa.com and contact me.
(003 A Minute with AL - Motivation)
What is it that you want in life? Whatever you want, you can have. Only, if you are willing to earn it. Only, if you are willing to pay the price. It all begins with Desire and the willingness to remain focus until you achieve your goal. Be determined and disciplined to never give up and you will be successful in the pursuit of what you want.
